2551 Sunday, June 5th - morning

05:41… the early morning post didn’t turn off my head.  Things needed to be done, so they will be.  I was thinking about betting to the point that I was losing sleep over it.  Although the losses haven’t been terrible, there haven’t been many wins there either.  I’m certainly not going to make any promises there, but the regular part of the routine will need to be taken a break from.

My body doesn’t feel as rested as it has been lately, I’m thinking that today might be a good resting day of sorts.  I might get out for a short walk, just to keep my streaks alive, but there won’t be a huge push for steps today.  I’m hoping.

  • Lung recruitment: did this in the very low light.

  • Shorts change: the red & blacks stay on.

  • Made the bed: I tidied up the bed.

  • Bottle empty: I emptied the bottle.

  • Turn the coffee maker on: the tap water needed time to warm up, being so early and all.

  • Computer logged on: did this too.

  • Pills and vitamins: and this.

  • Wash up: the water did warm up to be hot.

  • Weigh-in: still no love between the phone and the scale.  Patience.

  • Deodorant: sprayed, yes.

  • Voltaren/Diclo10%: splashed, yes.

  • Moisturiser: dolloped, yes.

  • Shoulder brace: the brace wasn’t as difficult, but that may have been me getting used to it.

  • Shirt change: the burgundy yoga shirt today.

  • PowerBreathe: 30 inhales. (06:00) the first round is done.

06:01… I’m not feeling motivated enough to get on the ball… yet.  Too much on the mind.

  • Email:

    • Main account: newsletters and promos this morning.

  • Upper Deck: the free pack was 3 for 3.

  • Facebook: one birthday, no nod.  The news feed had a little excitement, but not much.

  • Twitter: not much going on here.

  • Fitbit:

    • Steps yesterday: 25.9k.

    • Floors: 31 floors.

    • Active Minutes: 187 minutes.

    • Weight: 173.2 pounds.

    • Stress Management: 74.

    • RHR: 66 bpm.

    • Water: I’m still on my first.

  • Budget: the Made By Marcus purchase, which was nicely rounded off, so there was no BtR.  I hid the Sports Interaction sheets and wrote some new macros for them, out of sight, out of mind.

06:23… that’s a bit better.  I worked on my bookmarks too, keeping the temptation away.

06:44… a much needed bathroom break was had.  Time to get to the Sunday physio.

  • Bosu Ball: (07:06) A good start was had.  2.4k, 1 floor and 14 Zone minutes were collected.

  • PowerBreathe: 30 inhales. (08:31) I finished the third round a few minutes ago.

  • Protein shake: a chocolate shake is my reward for the effort.

08:34… the end had some distractions, but it was a good Sunday physio session.

08:36… my mind can’t seem to get off the opinion that there is no God.  There are a number of thoughts that keep circling in my noggin, so I think I will get them down.

I can honestly understand how a good portion of the Earth’s population believes in something greater.  It’s hard to comprehend that there isn’t something more to these lives of ours.

“There has to be something more to this life.”  The greatest flaw to that idea is that there are more than one theories/belief structures.  If there were a superior being overseeing everything and everyone, wouldn’t there be only one?  Which all-knowing/all-controlling entity controls all the others?

For all the trouble that religion has caused the people on this planet, why can’t we be problem solvers and figure out that it’s all make-believe.

Granted, religions have got some good lessons, when it comes to right and wrong things to do.  The motivation/reward/punishment system for any actions leave a little to be desired.

“We don't go to hell, the memories of us do

And if you go to hell I'll still remember you”

That is probably one of my favorite Tragically Hip lyrics, from Inevitability of Death.  It basically covers what we should all be thinking when it comes to the topic of heaven and hell.

08:57… that feels better.  I like writing that stuff down, that way it can calm my mind.

11:15… ho… lee… fuck.  The first two episodes of the new season of the Boys was some dark ass shit.  There’s another episode, but I’m not sure if I want to watch it.  If anything, it’s a good representation of how dark the whole world is becoming.  I’m at a loss for words for it all really.  The Boys did a decent job putting an alternative spin on the superhero genre, but the start of season three really turned it up a notch.

On the plus side, I hit 10k and 31 Zone minutes, so I’ll be taking it easy for the rest of the day.

11:40… the Jays game is on now.  Hosting the Twins to finish up their 3-game series.

11:52… the smoothie is now mixed.
